朱立倫表示，第2次碰到金融海嘯，他擔任行政院副院長，努力克服金融海嘯帶給台灣的衝擊，民國99年經濟成長率創下10.88%，他說，很多人擔憂下一回合的金融海嘯會在2016年出現，2016是關鍵一年，因此呼籲大家選出一位財經出身的總統跟大家一起打拚。

朱立倫說，過去他和丁守中同樣是台大教授，第4屆立委也是同事，當時台灣剛剛過發生亞洲金融風暴，他當時是財委會召集人，丁守中幫了很多忙，一起推出金融改革五法，救了銀行、保險和證券業，讓台灣走出金融風暴。
朱立倫結束白天的彰化、南投掃街行程，晚上趕回北投幫丁守中站台，朱立倫說，丁守中擔任7屆立委，是立法院的模範生，最了解政策、法案，也非常有原則和理想。
